Course Description
Overview: If you've ever fancied having a go at watercolour but don't know where to start, this is your chance! Come along and have a go at creating an atmospheric watercolour using a limited palette and lots of lovely wet on wet painting. If you've never painted before, or painted in other media, this is a great way to start. Suitable for absolute beginners and keen creatives alike! What to bring: All materials are provided so no need to bring anything - just yourself and your enthusiasm. You might also want to bring an apron (as we'll be splashing paint around a bit) and an A4 folder to take your painting(s) home with you. Practicalities: The full address is: Wath Court, Hovingham YO62 4NN which is on the B1257 about a mile to the east of Hovingham. The workshop runs from 11am to 1pm. Our workshop space is on the first floor to the right. There is plenty of parking on site. Your tutor: Ione is a landscape artist and tutor with over 30 years' teaching experience. Her aim in her teaching is twofold: for you to feel supported to develop confidence and skill in using the wonderful medium of watercolour; for you to have fun and spend an enjoyable, restorative time playing with colour.
