Course Description

With a focus on fun and exploration, this watercolour workshop will teach you exciting techniques as you create beautiful mountain landscapes. Get ready for an fun artistic adventure! After an exploration of our colours and techniques, you’ll be guided step by step to create two atmospheric mountain landscapes to take home with you. Using a limited palette, you’ll explore some fun and easy to use techniques (painting wet in wet, using salt and lifting off). The emphasis is on having fun, playing with colour and techniques and exploring the wonderful world of watercolour. All materials and refreshments are provided. Workshop takes place at Unit 3, Welburn Business Park, Welburn (near Castle Howard) York YO60 7EP. The workshop runs from 10 to 3. Refreshments (tea/coffee/cake) are included; lunch, however, is not, so please bring a packed lunch. There is plenty of parking onsite. Ione is an landscape artist and tutor with over 30 years' teaching experience. Her aim in the workshop is for you to be supported to develop confidence and skill in using the wonderful medium of watercolour.
