Course Description

Unleash your inner artist and join North Yorkshire artist Ione for a Forests Watercolour Workshop. This workshop focuses on capturing the atmospheric beauty of forests using watercolours. Embrace your creativity and learn new skills in a fun and supportive environment. This workshop is suitable for all levels, from absolute beginners to anyone wanting to explore new techniques. No drawing needed. After an exploration of the colours and techniques, you’ll by guided step by step to create two forest-based landscapes to take home with you. Using a limited but vibrant palette, you’ll explore some fun and easy to use techniques (cling film, spatter and wax resist) as well as practising more traditional washes and wet in wet painting. All materials are provided and refreshments are available. The course runs from 10am to 1pm upstairs at my studio: Unit 3, Welburn Business Park, Welburn, York YO60 7EP. Ione is an landscape artist and tutor with over 30 years' teaching experience. Her aim in her teaching is for you to feel supported to develop confidence and skill in using the wonderful medium of watercolour - and for you to explore your own creativity.
