In the painting, I wanted to capture the atmosphere and timeless quality of the Hebrides, as well as the sparkle and light of the gorgeous blue of the water and the white sand beach. Texture was added in the foreground to create contrast. This has to be one of my all time favourite places. Although, it does dpeend on the weather....
